Co-Location Expansion

Scott Data Center is pleased to announce that with the continued demand of the co-location program, an additional 4,000 SF is being brought online to handle incoming customers. With this expansion, room for over 100 additional racks will become available. The co-location service offerings are also expanding to meet customer needs. Beginning in June, the program will offer connectivity solutions for customers and managed services to meet growing demand. “Were very pleased with the growth of the program and look at our expanded service offerings to accelerate the growth and provide the solutions companies desire” said Executive Director Ken Moreano. Interested parties should contact Scott Data Center to learn more at 402-502-6000

Security Upgrades Complete

This past month the data center completed a major security renovation on time and under budget. The renovation included installation of additional security measures for the datacenter including biometric identification as well as updating surveillance technology to the latest IP based solutions. The system enhancements allow the security guard presence to better handle the large volumes of information and activity that is recorded daily as the campus activity continues to grow and provide a more secure enviroment.

IPG Information Technology Intern Program

IPG Information Technology Intern Program

Soon after taking residency at Scott Data Center, Interpublic Group (IPG) partnered with The Peter Kiewit Institute(PKI) to work to create a number of internships for students interested in IT related positions. The program is already paying big dividends as Megan Moles, a recent PKI, graduate will attest to.   Upon graduation in December of 2009 Megan was asked to take a full time position at IPG as a result of her performance during the intern program. “ The internship program was an exciting opportunity for me and I’m thrilled it lead to a full time position within IPG upon graduation”.

Now completing its second year, IPG is recruiting students to expand the internship program to 20 PKI students. Interested in creating intern positions within your company? Contact Lauren Weeks of the Peter Kiewit Institute for more information at 502-554-3333.
